Masoud Hassanzade, fine art photographer

Seeing light where others see shadow.

I am a photographer who finds poetry in the everyday. Through my lens — most often a humble Nikon FM10 and 35mm film — I chase the quiet stories that unfold in ordinary moments: the expressive language of hands, the unexpected beauty in a kitchen sink, the way light falls across a familiar scene when you choose to see it differently.Film photography is my eternal love. There’s nothing quite like the magic of a negative, the patience it demands, and the soul it captures. Over the years, I’ve exposed nearly 600 frames on 35mm, and every roll deepens my belief that the most powerful images come not from chasing the extraordinary, but from being fully present with what already exists. Whether I’m walking the streets, sitting in a café, or simply moving through daily life, my camera helps me transform the mundane into something intimate and meaningful. I’m drawn to human traces — gestures, textures, quiet emotions — and to the kind of visual storytelling that lingers. One day I hope to walk the streets of Rome as a photojournalist, crafting photo essays that matter. Until then, I keep shooting, keep observing, and keep falling in love with the process — because for me, photography isn’t just an art form. It’s a way of being alive.
